About Working Frontier

Working Frontier is where I write about software engineering, tools, product building, and the practical details that make systems easier to build and trust.

I’m interested in workflows, developer experience, clear interfaces, and the kinds of feedback loops that help teams move faster without losing rigor.

About me

I’m Andrei-Mihai Nicolae, a staff software engineer at Carta, where I work on equity management software. I studied software engineering at the University of Glasgow and I’m based in Bucharest, Romania.

Outside of work, I build side projects, write software, and spend a lot of time thinking about tools, systems, and how good products are actually made.

What to expect

This is a place for short essays, practical notes, and occasional experiments.

Some posts will be about engineering. Some will be about tools, workflow, and product quality. Some will simply be attempts to write down what I’m finding useful before the idea gets lost.

If that sounds useful, subscribe for future posts.

You can also find me on Github or email me at andrei@nicolaeandrei.com.
