About Working Frontier
Working Frontier is a regular essay for software builders navigating the shift from human-speed development to agentic work.
I write about feedback loops, developer tools, technical leadership, product judgment, and the systems that let teams move quickly without losing rigor. Each essay turns a noisy change into a useful way of working.

About me
I’m Andrei-Mihai Nicolae, a staff software engineer at Carta, where I work on equity management software. I studied software engineering at the University of Glasgow and live in Bucharest, Romania.
Outside work, I build side projects, write software, and study how tools, systems, and teams shape good products.
What to expect
Most weeks, I publish one concise essay. Some examine agentic engineering in practice. Others focus on software systems, product work, or the judgment required to lead through change.
